Third Sunday in May at the Eastatoe Co  mmunity Center, Hwy 178, Rosman, NC

The doors will open at 10:00 a.m., the food will be served at 1:00 p.m. and will last until the fun is over. Be sure to bring a covered dish to share, and drinks for your family. Paper products and ice will be provided.

Annual MountainKin Reunion - June 

Reunion for families with ties to Blue Ridge, Balsam and Smoky Mountains on the last weekend of June. The main gathering will be Saturday at the Balsam Grove Community Center. In addition, there will be a Genealogy Swap-Meet on Friday Evening. Additional events including family history tours will take place throughout the weekend. The reunion was originally organized as a chance for members of the MountainKin e-mail list to meet each other. Subscribe to the MountainKin list for updates.

Lyday Family Reunion - August 23rd, 2014

The Descendants of Delas and Sally Sitton Lyday are gathering for the annual reunion of family and friends. Social hour starts at 4:00 pm and dinner around 5:00 pm at Turkey Creek Church in Pisgah Forest, NC.

This is a potluck; bring your favorite dishes to share. Paper goods, flatware, ice and drinks will be furnished.

85th Annual Fisher Reunion - September  

The Descendants of James Washington Fisher, Sr. (Revolutionary War Soldier-Maryland Militia) MD to SC to NC. First Saturday after Labor Day at Lake Toxaway (Lakeside) Baptist Church off of Hwy 64. Business meeting begins at 11:00 followed by lunch, usually around 12:00 noon. There is always plenty of good food so if it's not convenient for you to bring a covered dish don't worry about it, just bring yourself. There's usually good gospel music and plenty of fellowship. This reunion is for all Fisher descendents. Gravestone dedication for Polly Fisher Cantrell will be at 3 pm at Old Toxaway Upper Cemetery, Old Toxaway Rd., Rosman, NC (not the church cemetery)

Get together from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Lake Toxaway Community Center, Slick Fisher Rd., Lake Toxaway, NC. Bring photos, family mementoes, newspaper articles, announcements (birth, marriage, graduation, educational/professional accomplishments, military information/photos, etc.) for sharing and scanning for the family scrapbook. Fourth Sunday in September at the Transylvania County Recreation Building, Ecusta Road. Descendants of: Stephen Shipman (1801-1863) and Abraham Pickelsimer (1787-1861). All family and friends are invited for fellowship, food, memorials, recognitions, history and business. Covered dish meal at 1:00 pm.
