355. Robert Thomas of Granville County, North Carolina, October 23, 1806 "Being sick & weak of body".. All my just debts be paid My three children Geo. Washington, William and Mariah & if my wife should be safely delivered of that or them she is now pregnant with that they all be educated at the expense of my Estate. My wife Betsey W. Thomas have the whole of my estate during her life to support & educate her children except when my children should arrive to the age of 21 years or marry. A division of my negroes be made equally between my wife and children and that the child receive it's lot of negros and so on as they arrive to age or marry. At the death of my wife my land be sold at 12 months credit and the money equally devided between my children. If my wife's father William Gill with the consent of my wife think or deem it necessary or better for my family to sell the whole or part of the country or move my negroes they are at liberty to do so, provided they make an equal division of my estate between my wife and children. My wife Betsey W. Thomas Executrix and her father William Gill Executor.
