The 11th Regt. N.C. Infantry (S.T.), also known as the Bethel Regt., was
organized in the early part of 1862, and was composed principally of
men who had formerly served in the 1st Regt. N.C. Vols. (6 mos.)
which had been disbanded at the expiration of its term of service.

The 66th Regt. N.C. Partisan Rangers Tailed to complete its organization, and the 12th Batallion N.C. Cav. was organized out of men raised for it. In the early part of 1864, the companies of the Batallion appear to have been temporarily attached to Col. Dearing's (8th) and to the 7th Regts. Confederate Cav. The 12th Batallion N.C, Car. was broken up by S.O. 161, A&IGO, dated July 11,1864. Cos. A and B became Cos. K and I, respectively, 4th Regt. N.C. Car.(59th S.T.) and Co. C became Capt. Martin's Co. G, 16th Batallion N.C. Cav.

The 2nd Regt. N.C. Infantry (Vols.) was organized in May 1861, with fourteen companies, A to O. Cos. L to O were transferred about Oct. 1861, to form a part of the 1st Batallion N.C. Infantry which was subsequently increased to a Regt. and known as the 32nd Regt. N.C. Infantry (S.T.). The designation of his Regt. was changed from the 2nd Regt. N.C.I. (Vols.) to the 12th Regt. N.C.I. (S.T.) by S.O. 222, A&IGO, dated Nov. 14, 1861.

Wright's Batallion N.C. Infantry
 Formed about May 1863, out of Independent Companies of N.C. "Bridge Guards." Consolidated with 8th Batallion N.C.P.R. by S.O. 234, A&IGO, dated Oct. 2, 1863, and formed 66th Regt~. N.C. Infantry Cos. A to D became Cos. A,B,E, and K, 66th Regt.

twelve companies; A to M. Its designation was changed to the 15th
Regt. N.C. Infantry (S.T.) by S.O. 222, A&IGO, dated Nov. 4, 1861.
Companies L and M were transferred to the 32nd Regt. N.C. Infantry (S.T.)
by S.O. 154, A&IGO, dated July 4, 1862, becoming (2nd) Co. K and
(2nd) Co. I, respectively of that Regt.

The designation of this Regt, was changed from the 6th Regt. N.C. Infantry (Volunteers) to the 16th Regt. N.C. Infantry (S.T.) by S.O. 222, A&IGO, dated Nov. l4, 1861.
