This is a correct copy of the ages of the Massenburg delegation in Texas.

Copied from an old Bible belonging to James Massenburg, of Louisburg, N. C., which he had from his father Ben Massenburg, and continued from Bible of Silvester Massenburg. These records are written on a double sheet of fool’s cap paper and apparently in my father’s or grandfather’s hand. It is strange that these records should have been found here as the Davises and Horahs were mostly from Salisbury. I fancy that Granfather, Dolphin Alston Davis, sent them to his Massenburg kin in Louisburg. They were securely pasted in this old Bible.
