Will of Jordan Snell

In the name of God Amen. I Jordan W. SNELL of the County of Washington and the State of North Carolina being in very feeble health of body; but of Sound mind and memory and understanding praise be God for the same do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following: I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Harriett SNELL during her natural life all of my property real personal and mixed of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever she same shall be at the time of my death. And after the death of my beloved married wife my will is that all my said property shall be publicly sold by my second executor and equally divided among my lawful heirs. And I do nominate Constitute and appoint my said wife first executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all and every other will or wills at any time heretofore made by me and do declare this to be my last will and testament.

And I constitute and appoint as my second executor my trusty friend Josephus H. SNELL to publicly Administer and Sell all my said property at public sale and pay all my and her just debts and then equally divide the remainder among my lawful heirs.

In witness whereof I the said Jordan W. SNELL have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal. This the 7th day of April 1886. Signed declared and published by the above named Jordan W. SNELL as and for this last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
