I am looking for information about Mary Catherine LARKIN/LARKINS who traveled with her family from Wilmington, North Carolina by wagon to Arkansas in 1851. Her father ran a grist mill in Wilmington, NC. Her mother's name was Sarah. Two brothers, Benjamin Joel and William LARKIN/LARKINS and another child also came with them to Arkansas. Two older sisters, Hester and Susan, stayed behind in North Carolina. Mary Catherine LARKIN/LARKINS was born November 4, 1841 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Benjamin Joel LARKIN/LARKINS was born May 18, 1839. Any help concerning this family would be appreciated

Interested in making contact with any descendants of the Duncan COWAN, Magnus COWAN line which originated in New Hanover County. Duncan Cowan was in NHC in 1747. Purpose is to explore possibility that John Cowan came from this line. John Cowan received a 270 acre land grant on the Catawba River in1754.Appreciate any response.

John MILLER (b. c1751, d. bef 1816 New Hanover County NC) married 1st Elizabeth RHODES and had children: John RHODES MILLER, Ann MILLER, Mary MILLER and Elizabeth MILLER. 2nd, John married Jane LARKINS, widow, and had children: Richard MILLER, Thomas Jefferson MILLER, James MILLER, and Charles GAUSE MILLER. Jane LARKINS may have been a member of the GAUSE family of Brunswick Co., NC. Charles Gause MILLER, James MILLER, Elie Thomas MILLER and others were in Kemper and Lauderdale counties, MS by 1850. I am looking for Thomas Jefferson MILLER and identity of Elie Thomas MILLER (b 1810 GA) and would love to discuss this line with anyone interested.

I've run into a blank wall. My grandfather was traced back to Wilmington, NC in the 1880 census showing the following family unit:

John JUSTICE, age 33 a white male born in NC married to Caroline, age 20 born in NC Children were: Theo Nix, a son age, 9 born, in NC Ella V., a daughter, age 8, born in NC John E., a son, age 5, born in NC Maggie, a daughter, age 3, born in NC Jas. Cris, a son, age 9 months, born in NC

Further research in the St. James Church records shows:

Theo Nix to be Theophilus Nixon, born on 2/5/1872 Ella V. to be Ella Viola, born on 9/2/1873 John E. to be John Elza, born on 12/15/1874 Maggie to be Margaret Virginia, born on 7/15/4877 Jas. Cris to be James Christopher, born on 8/31/1879 Carloine Justice was Susan Caroline Littleton, born 8/12/1849 Her parents were Samuel Littleton and Sabra

The marriage License for John and Caroline show:

They were married on 6/23/1870 No parents are given.

I am looking any information on Rowe family. Found 1870 census record listing: Hester Rowe 36, living in Columbia Twp with 4 children: sons Wist and Davis 13, also daug, Marzee,6 and Burney 3. Believe her husband was Benjamin Rowe. Hester's maiden name was Larkins. Any info would be appreciated.
