Certifies that a grant was executed by him to JOHN UNDERWOOD, 11 March 1760, for 300 A. in Parish of St. John, in Granville Co., on SS Buffelow Creek, adj. JEREMIAH STROTHER, which grant was delivered to MAJOR WILLIAM HURST, to be delivered by him to JOHN UNDERWOOD. Wit: RICHD. VIGORS, WILL HURST.

Granville Co., 12 Dec. 1760. Certificate from WILL HURST that he delivered the above grant of THOS. CHILD, Esq. to JOHN UNDERWOOD & that it was destroyed by fire when his house burned while he and his wife were away.
