REAVES / MATTHEWS / RICH
My Grandfather, Edgar Washington REAVES had a sister named Nellie REAVES who married Franklin Cleveland MATTHEWS. Nellie was born 09-28-1894, and died Oct. 1992 in Hialiah, Florida. Nellie and Franklin Cleveland had several children. Elizabeth MATTHEWS who married Zacharias RICH. They had a daughter named Sarah Jane RICH; Lillian MATTHEWS The last know address I have on here is 100 Bruce Drive, Dunn, NC 28334; Other children of Nellie were Victor Ray Matthews b. July 8, 1921, who died in Miami Springs, FLA, Nov 17, 1997; Leland Matthews b Aug 4, 1914 d. Nov 28 1981 in Dunn, NC; and Jessie Odis Matthews. JOHNSON / THOMAS
I am trying to find any information on my Dad's family. His name was Willie C. JOHNSON. His mother's name was Mary Katherine THOMAS; his Dad's name, I have been told was T.C. JOHNSON. Mary's mother's name was Cornelia CLARK; Mary's father's name was Grisson THOMAS. Mary was born in NC, and died in Lillington, NC. I have been told that she was buried in the "Thomas Family Cemetery", near Broadway. I do not know if Broadway is a street or ? My dad, Willie JOHNSON, had 2 sisters, and 4 brothers I believe. Most all of them lived in Lillington. Any information that anyone has of this family, living or deceased, would be greatly appreciated. REARDON
I found the very crude tombstone of my Great Grandfather this weekend in Buies Creek cemetery. I think this is the cemetery of The First Baptist Church of Buies Creek. His name was James C. REARDON.....born Jan.9, 1829 ...died ...June 19, 1911.. His wife was Mary Gregory REARDON, born..........Nov.23, 1840..... died Jan. 31, 1916. MCLEAN / MCRAE
I am looking for the Harnett County ancestors of my gg grandmother, Catherine McLEAN, who married William Ross Davis in the 1858 and moved to Bladen County. My Catherine was born 1839 in what was then Cumberland County (now Harnett County) and died 1924 in Bladen County. Her parents were Lauchlin McLean and Mary McRAE(?), and reported to have lived south of Lillington. I'm trying to find documentation of both Lauchlin's and and Mary's parents. Some of their relatives are reported to be buried at the Murchison(?) Cemetery (about 3 miles south of Lillington and up in a field about a hundred yards on the east side of Highway 210 and just south of the entrance to a rock quarry). HOLLAND
My ggrandfather, John P. Holland, was from Dunn, Harnett County, North Carolina.
The following information appears on the 1900 census:
John P. Holland born April 1861
Wife: Carrie M. born February 1869
Dau: Rosa A. born September 1883 (We do know that Carrie M. was Rosa's stepmother. She and John were married when Rosa (whom we know as Alice) was about 3 years old. Alice was my grandmother, married to John William Akins. Also, does anyone know who her mother was. We believe she died in childbirth).
Son: William D. born April 1887
Dau: Mildred E. born December 1889
Dau: Mary L. born August 1894
Dau: Bula S. born July 1895
Mother: Mary A. Holland born April 1835
Sister: Ida. T. Adams born May 1874

REAVES / FOUCHEE
I am looking for siblings or parents to a Wright Allen REAVES. His death record shows he was born in Harnett County, BUT the county was formed in 1845, and he was born about 1833-37.
