Sadie A. Crank was born Dec. 8, 1900 & died June 20, 1960. She married Pennell Adolphus Tillett (1899-1983) [see obit] on Jan. 10, 1919.

Sadie (Gaylord) Crank was born Feb. 29, 1872 and died Dec. 2,3 1905. She married Joseph M. "Joe" Crank on Sept. 15, 1889. Joseph M. Crank was born to Patrick Crank and Mary "Polly" Ward in January 1855 and died in 1924. Sadie and Joe are both buried in the Gaylord-Basnight Cemetery.

(baby) Elizabeth "Lizzie" Crank was born Mar. 4, 1903 and died Oct. 15, 1986 in Chesapeake, Va. She married William Roosevelt "Ted" Toler, Sr. (1900-1966) on Sept. 14, 1920.

Jesse Benjamin Crank was born Apr. 25, 1899 and died Apr. 10, 1970 in San Diego Co., California. His 1918 draft registration card for WWI shows that he was a machinist for S.J. Jenkins in Berkley, Va. His SS Card shows that his last residence was in El Cajon, San Diego Co., CA.

William Roosevelt "Ted" Toler, Sr. [see obit], son of Caleb Hobbs Toler and Sidney Matilda Hines, married Elizabeth Crank [see obit], daughter of Joseph M. Crank and Sadie J. Gaylord, on September 14, 1920. To this union were born 3 known children:
   1) William Roosevelt Toler, Jr. (1921 Norfolk -     ) married Shirley Dowdy
   2) Sidney Caleb Toler (1923-2005) married Leola Estelle Perry (1925-2011)
   3) Anges Elizabeth Toler (1936 - 2012) [see obit] married Wally Gerald Wise

Sidney Caleb & Leola (Perry) Toler

Sidney Caleb Toler, born October 29, 1923 in Corolla, NC to William Roosevelt Toler, Sr. and Elizabeth Mae Crank. He had two siblings William Roosevelt Toler, Jr. of Havelock, NC and Anges Elizabeth (Toler) Wise of Kitty Hawk. Sidney died December 29, 2005 [see obit] and is buried in Austin Cemetery. Sidney was married on September 16, 1943 in South Mills, NC to Leola Estelle Perry. They were married 62 years before his death.

Leola Estelle Perry was born April 21, 1925 in Kitty Hawk, NC to Leon Hardy Perry and Eva Leola O'Neal. She had three siblings Norman Lee Perry (7/6/27 - 9/24/96), Doris Leneda (Perry) Pruitt, Kitty Hawk and Reda Mae (Perry) Midgett, Manteo. Leola Estelle died in Kitty Hawk on July 26, 2011 [see obit]

Sidney and Leola had six children and twelve grandchildren.
   1) Tommy Lee Toler - Wanchese, NC, born 7/3/46, married to Margaret Joy Walker. Three children were born to this marriage: Leslie Neil Toler, Carrie Lee (Toler) Booth, Ted Hardy Toler.
   2) Sandra Kay (Toler) Midgett - Southern Shores, NC, born 6/5/47, married to Ray McDonald Midgett. Two sons were born to this marriage: Steven Ray Midgett (1/5/65 - 12/22/2004) and Randall Wade Midgett.
   3) Sidney Blaine Toler - Manteo, NC, born 6/11/48, married Gloria Linda Parent. Three children were born to this marriage: Phebe Althea (Toler) Cooper, Kristian Blaine Toler, and Shannon Elizabeth (Toler) Glaser. Blaine is currently married to Gail Dowdy.
   4) Daphne Arleen (Toler) Casper - Kitty Hawk, NC, born 12/30/53, married Raye Carlton Casper. Two sons were born to this marriage: Joshua John Casper and Jessie Clayton Casper.
   5) April Sue (Toler) Hardison - Plymouth, NC, born 8/9/58, married Fred M. Wescott Jr. Two sons were born to this marriage: Fred Melvin Wescott III and Jeffery Caleb Wescott. April is currently married to Thomas Carl Hardison.
   6) Melanie Ann Toler - Kitty Hawk, NC, born November 25, 1961, married and later divorced Lee Barnhart.
