McLEMORE
Do you know if there is a list of "Oaths of Allegiance", or something like it, that was recorded after the Civil War in Cumberland Co. I have found similar records in GA. Supposedly, my Reden McLEMORE of Cumberland Co. (1850, 60, & 70 Census) fought in the Civil War and I can't find him listed anywhere! I'm wondering if a list as I mentioned above exists for Cumberland Co, and maybe I could find him on it. I'm wondering if he used a formal name and Reden was a nick name as I have seen it spelled at least 3 ways. Thanks! Teri   Posted March 12, 2000
