Book G, page 175:   Jan 19, 1793: Cornelius Dowd of Chatham Co of North Carolina of the one part and James Alston of Moore County and State aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Cornelius Dowd for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds to him in hand paid by the said James Alston before the assigning and delivery of these presents the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledges and clearly acquit and discharge the said James Alston his heirs, executors, administrators etc. and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said James Alston his heirs and assigns forever one Tract or parcel of land lying and in the said County of Chatham on the South side of Deep River and bounded as followeth beginning at a sugar tree Cappo's Landing running along a line formerly Conner Dowds now James Alstons line to the County line thence a direct line to the mouth agut called the Tanyard Gut Richard Tysons Landing thence down the said River to the Beginning including thrity acres be the same more or less which land the said Cornelius Alston his heirs executors administrators etc from all manner of person or persons laying any just right or claim thereto.  In witness whereof the said Cornelius Dowd hath thereunto afixed his hand and seal the day and date first written.  Corns. Dowd .  Witnessed by Robert (his mark) Moore and John Wilkins.  Proved Chatham County Feb sessions 1794 by Robert Moore.
 

Book G, page 175/6: Know by all these men presents that I Samuel Stuart Junr of chatham County and State of North Carolina have bvargained sold and allend and confirmed unto Samuel McDannel of the said County and State aforesaid on certain tract or parcel of land lying on the Ricky River containing of Seventy Two acres and fifty three poles more or less it being the sixth part of four hundred and thirty four acres which fell to my wife Jean by her Father Benjamin Watts deceas't for and in consideration of them sum of twenty fourt pounds twelve shillings to me in hand paid by the said land and which land I do hereby warrant and forever deend unto the said Samuel McDannel his heirs and exators and administrators and assigns to the only proper use and behoof the said McDannel from me my heirs exators and administros or assigns to ahve no claim or demand unto the said land in anywise as witness our hands and selas this 13 day of February 1794.   Signed Samuel Stuart and Jean (her mark) Stuart.  Witnessed by Jos. Harman and WIlliam Green.  Februay 13, 1794, Recd of Samuel McDaniel twenty four pounds twelve shillips it being the full satisfaction for the within mentioned lands witnessed our hands. Harman and William Green.  Chatham County Feby Sessions 1794 This deed was acknowledged in open court and ordered to be registered.  Test John Ramsey C.C.

Book G, page 176: **This is only a portion that is on this page, is continues on page 177** Know all men by these presents that I James Steel of the County of Chatham  and State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds specie to me in hand paid by John Steel of the County and State Orange  the receipt of which I do hereby acknowledge and absolutely discharge the said John Steel have bargained and sold by these presents do fully give grant bargain and sell allien release convey and confirm  and sett over unto him the said John Steel his heirs and assigns forever a certain parsell of land lying and being in Chatham County on the Water of little Cane Creek it being part of John Pyle's old deeded land beginning at his corner a Hickory running north along said seventy poles unto said forty seven poles to a Hicory then south seventy poles to the old line then east forty seven poles to the first station containing twenty acres of land to have and to hold the said land and I have hereby bargained and sold all the singular rights and previledges comodites heredetermints and appertainences thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said John Steel his.......page stops there.

Book G, page 324:  **This is the very end of a deed at the top portion of the page: ....him and his proper use and behoof over the said Richard Cochran for himself his heirs etc the said three acres of land unto him the said Chalmers his heirs and assigns will well and truly warrant and defend forever in witness whereof the said Richard Cochran hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first written.  Signed Rd Cochran.  Test Wm. Scurlock (or Seurlock) and Elijah Chamberlain.

Book G, page 324: This indenture made this fifteen day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety two between Francis Teague of Chatham County of State of North Carolina of the one part and Samuel McDaniel of the County and State aforesaid witnesseth that the said Francis Teague for and in consideration of eighty pounds specie to him in hand paid by the aid Samuel McDaniel the receipt of whereof said Francis Teague doth hereby acknowledge hath bargained sold alineted inforsed and confirmed and by these presence doth acknowledge hath bargained sold alien at inforese and conform unto the sd Samuel McDaniel his heirs executors administrators and asigns forever a sartain tract or percell of land lying in sd County of Chatham and State aforesaid containing seventy five acres be same more or less lying on the south side Rockey River beginning at a Hicory Philip Hartso old line east Eighty pole to a Hicory on the Bank of the River thence down the various course of the River Sixty pole to a Maple in the side of the River South dixty nine degrees west sixty four pole to a White Oak thence West one hundred pole by Edward More to a Post Oak thence north Sixty five poles to the beginning it being part of a Tract of Land to Adam Ramsower together with all woods, waters, houses, orchard profits, comoditys of land belonging or in anywise appertaining and all the right title clame intrust or demand of the sd Francis Teague of in and to the hereby grants premises of every part and profit thereof shall and will warrent and forever defend from the said Francis Teague his heirs or assigns unto the sd Samuel McDaniel his heirs Executors, administrators or assigns in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand seal the day and year first above written.  Francis Teague.  Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us David Teague and Sarah (her mark) Teage.  Chatham County Novemr sessions 1794.  This deed was duly proved in open court by the oath of David Teague a subscribing witness and order to be registered.  Test John Ramsey C.C.

Book G, page 327: **the beginning of this deed is on page 326**..of Seventy pounds to him in hand paid by the said Isaac Cox the receipt whereof he the said Temple Thompson doth hereby confess and acknowledge he the said Temple Thompson hath give and granted and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said Isaac Cox his heirs and assigns forever all that parcel of land situate lying and being in Chatham County afforesaid and on the middle for of Rocky River it being part of a tract of land granted to James Vestal by Simon Hadly by a deed bearing date of eleventh day of August 1766 and from said Vestal to Temple Thomson by a deed bearing date the 22nd day of September in the year 1787 and beginning for this parcel at a marked tree the original corner thence South 102 poles to a stake east twenty poles to Rocky River thence south and the various courses of the River 150 poles thence North 30 poles on David Vestals line thence North  45 degrs West 121 poles on Wm Vestals line thence West 60 poles to the Beginning containing by estimation seventy acres of land be the same omore or less also all Wood,  Water and Water courses, house, orchard ways, apurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining all all the estate right title interest  calim and demand whatsoever of him the said Temple Thompson off in and to the said Land and premises in every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold unto the said Isaac Cox his heirs and assigns forever and the said Temple Thompson for himself and his heirs executors or administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said Isaac Cox that the said land and premises against all and every other person or persons lawfully claiming by from or under him unto the said Isaac Cox his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in Witness whereof he the said Temple Thompson hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.  Tempel Thompson.  Signed sealed and deliverd in the presence of us John Piggott and William Piggott.  Chatham County November Sessions 1794 This deed was duly proved in open court by the afirmation of John Piggott a subscribing witness and order to be registered.  Test John Ramsey C.C.

Book G, page 327/8: This indenture made this eighteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred ninty one between William Teague of the one part and Samuel McDaniel of the other part bouth of the County of Chatham and State of North Carolina that the sd William Teague for the consideration of the sum of one hundred pound lawfull money  of this province to him in hand paid by the said Samuel McDaniel before the inselling and delivery of these presents the receipt hereof doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied and paid hath given granted bargained sold and conveyed and confirmed unto the said Samuel McDaniel and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said Samuel McDaniel his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land lying and being in Chatham County on the West side of Rockey River beginning at Hornaday Branch thence to Wards line from thence to Isaac Teague line and from thence to the beginning  containing sixty acres of land be the same more or less together with all the right title claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Samuel McDaniel and his heirs to the said sixty acres of land and primeses benefit and behoof of him the said William Teague or himself his heirs doth hereby warrant the said land and premises unto the said Samuel McDaniel and his heirs against any person or persons laying claim or claims thereto whatever.  In witness whereof the said William Teague and his wife hath hereunto set his hand and fixed his seal the day and year first above written.  William (his mark) Teague.  Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of us David Teague and Elijah Teague.  Chatham County Novemr sessions 1794 This deed was duly proved in Open Court by the Oath of David Teague subscribing witnesses and ordered to be registered.  Test John Ramsey C.C.

Book G, page 328/9: This indenture made this eighteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninty one between Isaac Teague of the one part and Samuel McDaniel of the other part both of the County of Chatham and State of North Carolina planters that the said Isaac Teague witnesseth that the said Samuel McDaniel paid the just and full sum of ten pounds lawfull money of this province to him in hand paid by the said Samuel McDaniel before the insealing and delivering of these presents the receipt hereof doth hereby acknolege and himself therewith fully satisfied and paid hath given granted bargained sold and conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell alien release and confirm unto the said Samuel McDaniel his heirs and assigns orever a certain tract or parcell of land lying and being in the County of Chatham on the West side of Rockey River being part of a Tract of Land conveyed from the said William Teague by a certain deed that Adam Ramsower obtained from the said State in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred seventy nine beginning at Isaac Teague line from thence to Wattses line on the River then up the River to Edward Teagues line thence to the beginning containing twenty acres be the same more or less together with all houses, profits, isues, appurtainings to the said land belonging or appertaining together with all the right title claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Isaac Teague his heirs to the said twenty acres of land and premises and every part and parcell thereof to have and to hold the said twenty acres of land and all and singular the premises to the said Samuel McDaniel his heirs and assigns forever and the said Isaac Teague for himself and his heirs doth hereby warant the said land and premises unto said Samuel McDaniel and his heirs and asigns and against other person or persons lawfully layin claim thereto whatsoever.  In Witness whereof the said Isaac Teague hath hereunto set his hand and afixed his seal the day and year first above written.  Isaac (his mark) Teague.  Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of David Teague and Elijah Teague.  Chatham County November sessions 1794.  This deed was duly proved in open court by the oath of David Teague subscribing witness and ordered to be registered.  Test John Ramsey C.C.
