Benton Cemetery, also known as Watson-Benton Cemetery
Enumerated by Albert C and Virginia B Purvis September 17, 2005

Note from contributors: The cemetery sits about a quarter mile off of Colon Mintz Road on property owned by International Paper Company. The road to the cemetery is overgrown but identifiable and open enough to allow access to the cemetery on foot. The cemetery itself is barely recognizable as there are many trees and low growing shrubs throughout.
The road to the cemetery is blocked with a locked gate, but we trudged through waist-high grass and weeds and found gravestones almost obliterated by the trees and shrubs growing there. We were able to locate 18 headstones and markers.
