I\u00c2\u00a0William N. Spruill of sound and disposing mind but of infirm health with the view of disposing of my property of which I am now possessed do give unto my mother\u00c2\u00a0Nancy SPRUILL my negro boy\u00c2\u00a0Joseph &amp; all my farming utensils &amp; at her death do devise that the said boy\u00c2\u00a0Joseph be equally divided between my sister\u00c2\u00a0Mary &amp; my brothers\u00c2\u00a0James &amp; Franklin.<\/p>\n<p>It is also my will that my brother\u00c2\u00a0James pay my just debts with the money he intended paying for the hire of the said boy\u00c2\u00a0Joseph for the year 1848.
