This family record was part of the application for a Revolutionary War widow's pension by Sally Walker widow of Michael Walker in Tyrrell County on February 20, 1855. In the application she says that her husband had lived in Currituck County at the commencement of the Revolutionary War and several years thereafter. She was married to Michael Walker in Currituck County on or about January 14, 1802 and her maiden name was Sarah Owens. At the time of the application in 1855, Henry Norman of Tyrrell County testified that he he had known Michael & Sally Walker for forty years.
