January Session 1833

Sarah Weskett widow of William Weskett relinquished her right of administration on the estate of her husband.

Ordered that Hz. G. Spruill, J. Combs, A. Pledger lay off to Sarah Weskett widow of William Weskett her years allowance.

April Session 1833

Ordered that Ephm. Mann administrator of Wm. Weskett return into court the inventory, account of sales and the widows years allowance.

Assignment dated 23 Jan 1833 by Sarah Weskett on the right of administration on her deceased husband William Weskett's estate to her friend Ephraim Mann

Bond dated 29 {blank} 1833 in the amount of four thousand dollars for Ephraim Mann to administer the estate of William Weskett deceased, Jos. Alexander & Charles T. Spruill securities.

Order January Term 1833 for Hez. G. Spruill, Jno. Combs & Abram Pledger to lay off to Sarah Weskett her year's allowance out of the estate of her husband William Weskett.

Years allowance of Sarah Weskett dated 8 Feb 1833.

Petition October Term 1834 by Charles McClees and his wife Sarah stating the some time in January 1832 William Weskett died intestate leaving a wife Sarah, one of your petitioners, and two children John & Sarah. Shortly after the death of William Weskett the child Sarah died an infant without issue. Petitioners pray that commissioners be appointed to divide the personal property of said William between the widow Sarah (now Mrs. McClees) and John Weskett the remaining child. Petitioner Sarah further states that in May 1834 she intermarried with Charles McClees Esq. the joint peteioner and that no division of the personal estate of her late husband has ever been made.

Court order October Term 1834 for the division of the personal estate of William Weskett amongst his heirs by H. G. Spruill, Lemuel Basnight, Charles T. Spruill, William Mann & Abner Alexander.

Division of the personal property of William Weskett deceased on 23 Jan 1835:
To Charles McClees and wife Sally who was the widow of said Weskett:
Negro woman Ginney valued at $325
Negro girl Isabella valued at $225
Negro boy Noah valued at $175
Negro girl Julia valued at $100
Total value $825
To John Weskett son of said Wm.
Negro woman Lettice valued at $300
Negro boy David valued at $200
Negro Patty valued at $50
Negro girl Aggy valued at $75
Negro girl Charity valued at $150

Bond dated 26 Jan 1835 in the amount of two thousand dollars appointing Charles McClees guardian of Jno. Weskett orphan of William Weskett deceased, William Mann, Thompson Liverman, Charles T. Spruill & George H. Alexander securities.

There are also several documents dealing with suits by Ephraim Mann to recover debts owed the estate.
