February Session 1809

Ordered that Keziah Ward have leave of administration on the estate of Benjamin Ward deceased and hath given bond in the sum of five hundred pounds Elisha Belanga and Nathan Spencer.

Ordered that Joseph White John A. Patrick John Liverman Senr. and Jeremiah Wynne Esqr. be appointed to lay off a years allowance to the widdow of Benjamin Ward of the said estate of deceased.

Ordered that Keziah Ward have leave to sell the chattel property of Benjamin Ward and make return to next court.

June Session 1809

Keziah Ward returned in court on oath the inventory and account of sales of the estate of Benjamin Ward deceased and she has also returned the years allowance made to her under an order of court.

Ordered that Keziah Ward have leave to sell the chattel property of Benjamin Ward deceased and make return to next court.

July Session 1813

Ordered that citation issue against Keziah Ward at the instance of Nathan Spencer to come to next court and show cause why she ought not to give another security for administration on the estate of Benjamin Ward deceased.

October Session 1813

Ordered that Kisiah Ward be allowed the sum of eighty four pounds for keeping her three children four years - - to be allowed out of the deceaseds estate.

Ordered that Nathan Spencer be appointed guardian to Polly Ward Sally Ward & Leah Ward orphans of Benjamin Ward and that he give bond & security & proceed as the law directs.

Ordered that Jno. A. Patrick & Timothy Jones Esqrs. audite & settle the estate of Benjamin Ward and make return to next court.

January Session 1814

Ordered that Jno. A. Patrick Timothy Jones Esqr. and Joseph White be appointed to audite the accounts of the executors of Benjamin Ward deceased with the guardian of the orphans & make return to next term.

Ordered that Jno. A. Patrick Timoth Jones Esqr. & Joseph White be appointed to audite the estate of Kiziah Ward executrix to Benjamin Ward deceased, and Nathan Spencer guardian to the said orphans & make return to next term.

July Session 1814

The audited account of Keziah Ward was returned to court ordered filed.

Ordered that the sheriff summon John A. Patrick Joseph White Carney Spruill John Clayton Thos. Livermon David Clayton Jacob (?) Cahoon Benjn. Clayton Timothy Jones Wm. Liverman Benjn. Spencer & Chas. Armour to lay off to Keziah Ward her dower of the lands of Benjn. Ward dceased & make return to next term.

October Session 1814

John A. Patrick returned to court the ? of the dower of the lands of Benjn. Ward deceased to Keziah Ward with the behoof (?) cert annexed amounting to $57.50 and file.

Bond dated 7 Feb 1809 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Keziah Ward administratrix of the estate of Benjamin Ward deceased, Elisha Belanga & Nathan Spencer securities.

Year's allowance for Kiziah Ward widow of Benjamin Ward layed off on 15 Mar 1809 by Jno. A. Patrick, Joseph White, Jeremiah Wynn & John Liverman.

Summons dated 13 July 1813 and issued 22 Jul 1813 for Kiziah Ward to appear at next court at the instance of Nathan Spencer to show cause why he should not be released from his bond for her administration of the estate of Benjamin Ward deceased.

Bond dated 12 Oct 1813 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Nathan Spencer guardian of Polly Ward, Sally Ward & Leah Ward orphans of Benjamin Ward deceased, Timothy Jones Esqr. & Wm. Cahoon securities.

Laying off of the widows dower in the lands of Benjamin Ward deceased on 10 Aug 1816 with Keziah Ward receiving 66 1/2 acres and the heirs of Benjamin Ward 133 1/2 acres.
