Ordered that a commission issue at five days notice to take the deposition of John Hatfield in a suit at issue in this court wherein John D. Whites administrator is plaintiff & William Hatfield is defendant.

Bond dated 15 Jan 1807 in the amount of fourteen hundred and twenty pounds in which Henry Starr guarantees his appearance at the next court to answer a plea of debt by John D. White's administrators.

Summons dated 28 Jan 1808 and issued 30 Jan 1808 for William Hatfield & Jeremiah Gyles to appear in court on the 1st Monday of May next to answer unto Jonathan Jacoks & Peterson Brown, administrators of John D. White deceased in a plea of covenants broken with 100 pounds damage. Received too late by sheriff.

Summons dated 2 May 1808 and issued 20 Jul 1808 for William Hatfield & Jeremiah Gyles to appear in court on the 1st Monday of August next to answer unto Jonathan Jacocks & Peterson Brown, administrators of John D. White deceased in a plea of covenants broken with 100 pounds damage. Received too late by sheriff and Jeremiah Gyles not to be found.

Summons dated 3 August 1808 and issued 12 September 1808 for William Hatfield & Jeremiah Gyles to appear in court on the 1st Monday of November next to answer unto Jonathan Jacocks & Peterson Brown, administrators of John D. White deceased in a plea of covenants broken with 100 pounds damage. Jeremiah Gyles not to be found.

Summons dated 3 November 1808 and issued 13 December 1808 for William Hatfield & Jeremiah Gyles to appear in court on the 1st Monday of February next to answer unto Jonathan Jacocks & Peterson Brown, administrators of John D. White deceased in a plea of covenants broken with 100 pounds damage.

Summons to the sheriff of Chowan County dated 27 Jun 1809 and issued 17 July 1809 for Ambrose Smith to appear in court on the 4th Monday of September next to testify on behalf of John D. White's administrators in a matter in which John D. White's administrators are plaintiffs and William Hatfield is defendant.

Execution dated 25 September 1810 and issued 11 October 1810 to the sheriff of Bertie County against the good & chattels of John D. White for 8 pounds, 2 shillings & 6 pence for costs and charges in a suit in which John D. White's administrators stand convicted. No goods, chattels or land of John D. White to be found by sheriff.
