Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions


November Session 1808

Ordered that William Twiford Senr. have leave of administration on the estate of William Twiford Junr. deceased and has given bond in the sum of five hundred pounds John Hooker and Frederick Owens his securities justices on the bench Levi Bateman Henry Alexander Paul Thoroughgood and Joseph Ansley Esqrs.

Ordered that John Owens William Owens and William Alexander be appointed to lay off a years allowance out of the estate of William Twiford to his widdow and make return to next court also Abram Alexander Esqr.

Ordered that the administrator of William Twiford Junr. have leave to sell the chattel property of said deceased and make due return.

February Session 1809

William Owens Esqr. returned in court on oath the account of sales of the estate of Wiliam Twiford Junr. filed.

Also he returned the years allowance made to the widdow of William Twiford Junr. deceased as follows viz. 500 lb. pork 250 lb. beef 13 barrels corn 12 gallons honey 12 pounds coffee 2 bushels salt 1 bll flour 1 lb. pepper 1 lb. alspice filed.

October Session 1813

Ordered that Betsey Twiford be appointed guardian to Thomas Twiford orphan of Wm. Twiford deceased and gave bond in the sum of five hundred pound John Alexander Capt. & Hezekiah Arnold securities.
