Swain, Lois, 1849
Bond dated 22 Jan 1849 in the amount of $1,000 appointing John H. Combs administrator of the estate of Lois Swain deceased, B. S. Basnight & John McCalester securities.
There is a suit in 1850 & 1851 between Henry H. Davenport, administrator of Lois Swain deceased, and Nancy Swain wherein the administrator charges trespass on the case and is seeking damages of $1,000.
Transcriber's Notes:
The 1833 will of Lemuel Basnight cites his daughter Lois Swain and her husband Lovick Swain and directs that if she survives her husband she is to receive $1,000 for her own use but if she doesn't survive him the money is to go to her children.
