Bond dated 29 Apr 1856 in the amount of $100 appointing Wm. C. Snell guardian to Wm. Maitland minor or orphan, R. B. Knight & W. D. Cooper securities.
Summons dated 12 Jan 1858 for Wm. C. Snell, guardian to Wm. Maitland, to be in court on the 4th Monday in January next and make such returns as the law requires.

The Tyrrell County death certificate of William Maitland who died 4 Jun 1927 shows that he was born 6 Nov 1851 in Tyrrell County, the son of John Maitland and Emiline Mizzell.
