Transcriber's Notes:
See the 1833 will of Joseph Meekins whose wife was Jerusha.
Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of Joseph Meekins to Jerusha Neel on 18 Feb 1805
The 1818 will of Mary Banks cites Jerusha Meekins as her daughter, so it appears that Jerusha had a first marriage to a Neel but there is no marriage bond to be found for that. The alternative is that Mary Banks had a previous marriage to a Neel but there are no marriage bonds to support that theory either.
The 1837 estate papers of Sally Liverman cite Jerusha Meekins as an heir.
The 1840 Cenus of Tyrrell County shows Jerusha Meekins to be 50 to 60 years old.
