Bond dated 29 Jan 1852 in the amount of $400 appointing Robert S. Halsey administrator of the estate of John Holloway deceased, James F. Davenport & Isaac Caisy securities.

Petition January Term 1852 of Mary Holloway against Sarah Louisa Holloway infant heir at law of John Holloway deceased. Petitioner shows that she is the widow of John Holloway who died seized and possessed of a tract of land joining Wm. Jarvis, Seth Sanders and others in which she is entitled to dower. She prays a writ of dower

Petition January Term 1852 of Mary Holloway who shows that John Holloway died leaving your petitioner his widow entirely unprovided for. He died leaving a small personal estate out of which your petitioner is entitled to a year's allowance for herself and family. She prays a court order and possession of on.e bed and furniture and two cards.

Laying off of the year's allowance at the late residence of John Holloway to the widow on 17 Feb 1852 by James Forbes J. P. and Seth Sanders, William Jarvis & Uri Spruill.

Laying off of the dower of Mary Holady, widow of John Holady, on 15 Apr 1852 by Jordan L. Jones sheriff and Joseph Hoskins, Benja. Hoskins, John Hoskins, James Forbes, John W. Tarkenton, Thomas M. Alexander, Azor Snell, Uriah Spruill, James Basnight, Seth Sanders, Wm. J. Brichouse & Wm. Snell.

Petition April Term 1852 of Robert S. Halsey, administrator of John Holloway, who states that as far as he has been able to ascertain there are debts against the estate of $150 and the value of the personal estate amounts to no more than $95. Petitioner further shows that his said intestate died seized and possessed of a tract of about 25 acres joining William Jarvis, Seth Sanders and others which will be necessary to sell in order to meet the debts of the estate. Petitioner prays notice to Sarah Louisa Holloway (only heir) and a decree for sale.

Account of the sale of the land belonging to the estate of John Holloway deceased on 12 June 1852. Land sold to Thomas H. Alexander for $32 and timber sold to Romulus B. Knight for $30.
