Dillin, Harriet E., 1851
Decree October Term 1851 reference petition by William Dillin and others to divide and sell slaves. The court appoints Saml. McCleese, Joseph Halsey & James F. Davenport commissioners to divide the slaves according to the petition and report the same at the next term of court and that the administrator, James R. Dillin, have leave to sell the slaves allotted to his intestate Harriet.
Bond dated 27 Oct 1851 in the amount of $2,500 appointing James R. Dillen administrator of the estate of Harriet Dillen deceased, James F. Davenport, James S. Sutton & Samuel Norman securities.
Report at January Term 1852 of James R. Dillen, administrator of Harriet E. Dillen, of the sale of the negros that fell
to her on 25 Dec 1851.

Petition January Term 1852 of James M. Alexander and wife Caroline, James S. Sutton and wife Mary and William Dillen who show that James R. Dillen was appointed guardian to Harriet Dillen and at her death took letters of administration upon her estate and large sums of money came to his hands, to wit $2000 or more, from which petitioners are entitled to distribution in the proportion of 1/7th each. That said James is guardian to Henry, Robert & Silas Dillen, infants who are also entitled to distribution of said funds. Petitioners pray process, guardian and administrator accounts be taken and a decree for distrubution of said funds.
Account of the estate of Harriet E. Dillin by the administrator, James R. Dillin, audited by Saml. McCleese on 27 Jan 1852. The estate is due $1,276.58 with interest from this date.
