Caroon, Nevill, 1852
Petition October Term 1852 of Sarah Caroon who shows that she is the widow of Nevill Caroon who departed this life on 24 Sep 1852 leaving your petitioner with two small children. She is entitled to a year's provision out of the estate of her deceased husband and such other articles as the act of assembly allows her. She prays a court order and commissioners be appointed.
Laying off of the widow Sarah Caroon's year's provisions on 30 Oct 1852 by Samuel C. Midyett J. P. and Belcher Midyett, Lewis Mann & Neely Reed. $400 was allowed and only $185.40 could be found out of the property of the deceased.
