Cohoon, James S., 1848
Bond dated 24 Apr 1848 in the amount of $1,000 appointing Jordan L. Jones administrator of the estate of James S. Cahoon deceased, Bartlet Jones Senr. & Franklin Liverman securities.
Petition April Term 1848 of Silva Cahoon, widow of Jas. S. Cahoon stating that her husband James died intestate in March last leaving a large personal estate of the value of $1,000 or more and Jordan L. Jones was appointed administrator of said estate. Petitioner prays the laying off of the years allowance out of the personal estate for her and her family.
Laying off of the years allowance to Silvy Cahoon, widow of James S. Cahoon deceased, on 5 May 1848 by Luther Babbitt, Thos. J. Cooper & F. E. Alfred securities.
Bond dated 22 Jul 1849 in the amount of $1,000 appointing Jesse Sikes guardian to Sarah & Elizabeth Cahoon orphans of James S. Cahoon, J. L. Jones & Isaac Casey securities.
Execution dated the 4th Monday in April 1849 directed to the Sheriff of Pasquotank County against the lands and tenements of James S. Cahoon in said county.
