Cahoon, Turner Senr., 1845


Writ dated the 4th Monday of October 1845 and issued 6 Nov 1845. Whereas Fredk. Patrick lately recovered against Turner Cahoon Senr. deceased the sum of $4 interest from 15 Feb 1836 and it appearing to the Justices that said Turner Cahoon had no goods and chattels at the time of his death. It being suggested to the court that the said Turner Cahoon died seized and possessed of lands and tenements in Tyrrell County and the said Fredk. Patrick has prayed the court to give him proper relief by execution, Irene Niel, Levenia Cahoon, Soloman Sample, John Liverman & Elizabeth Liverman are to appear in court on the 4th Monday in January next to show cause, if any, why execution should not be had against said lands and tenements.

It being suggested to the court that the said Turner Cahoon died seized and possessed of lands and tenements in Tyrrell County and the said Fredk. Patrick has prayed the court to give him proper relief by execution, Irene Niel, Levenia Cahoon, Soloman Sample, John Liverman & Elizabeth Liverman are to appear in court on the 4th Monday in January next to show cause, if any, why execution should not be had against said lands and tenements.

Patrick lately recovered against Turner Cahoon Senr. deceased the sum of $4 interest from 15 Feb 1836 and $2.55 in charges and it appearing to the Justices that said Turner Cahoon had no goods and chattels at the time of his death. It being suggested to the court that the said Turner Cahoon died seized and possessed of lands and tenements in Tyrrell County and the said Fredk. Patrick has prayed the court to give him proper relief by execution, Irene Niel, Levenia Cahoon, Soloman Sample, John Liverman & Elizabeth Liverman are to appear in court on the 4th Monday in April next to show cause, if any, why execution should not be had against said lands and tenements.

Summons dated 22 Jan 1846 for Charles McClees, administrator of Turner Cahoon, to appear before a Justice of the Peace at Columbia on 26 Jun 1846 to answer the complaint of Benjamin Sikes administrator in a plea of debt by note for $17.01 with interest from 14 Nov 1837.

Writ dated the 4th Monday of April 1846 and issued 2 Feb 1846. Whereas Fredk. Patrick lately recovered against Turner Cahoon Senr. deceased the sum of $44.40 with interest from 15 Feb 1832 and a credit of $26 on 9 Apr 1836 and it appearing to the Justices that said Turner Cahoon had no goods and chattels at the time of his death. It being suggested to the court that the said Turner Cahoon died seized and possessed of lands and tenements in Tyrrell County and the said Fredk. For want of goods & chattels, Luther Babbitt on 7 Apr 1846 levied on the lands of Turner Cahoon in Gum Neck bounded on the south & east by the heirs of S. C. Patrick, on the south & west by Fredk. Patrick and on the north & west & northeast by the lands of Luther Babbitt.
