Brickhouse, Warren, 1851
Bond dated 30 Jul 1851 in the amount of $1,500 appointing Thos. J. Cooper administrator of the estate of Warren Brickhouse deceased, J. L. Jones & Franklin Liverman securities.
Petition October Term 1851 of Thos. J. Cooper, administrator of Warren Brickhouse, who shows that his intestate died about January 1851 and petitioner has duly administered upon the estate of the deceased. The personal assets amount to only about $86 while the cost of administration will be about $50 and the debts of the estate amount to about $300. Petitioner further shows that said Warren died seized and possessed of two tracts of land, one of 100 acres more or less in Kilkenny joining James Cohoon & Culifer, the other of about 48 acres in what is known as Piping Hill in the Kilkenny settlement. Said lands have descended to said Warren's two children, Elsberry & Jesse, both of whom are infants without guardian. It is necessary to sell said lands in order to pay the debts of the estate. Petitioner prays process and a decree of sale.
Bond 25 Jan 1853 in the amount of $1,000 appointing Samuel A. Truitt administrator of the estate of Warren Brickhouse deceased, Charles McCleese & Thomas Swain securities.
Bond dated 23 Jan 1854 in the amount of $600 appointing W. G. Armstrong guardian to Elsberry & Jesse Brickhouse orphans of Warren Brickhouse deceased, S. H. Truitt & Tully Davenport securities.
Petition April Term 1855 of Saml. A. Truitt, administrator of the estate of Warren Brickhouse, who states that he has administered on said estate since [blank] Term 1853 and has fully settled it and is now ready to pay over to the parties entitled. He shows that Jesse & Elias Brickhouse, infant children of the said intestate are his distributees and W. G. Armstrong is their guardian. To the end that a statement and settlement of said estate in his hands may be had he prays copies of this petition be served upon said Armstrong.
