Laying off of the year's allowance of Sally Barnes out of the personal estate of her late husband, W. I. Barnes on 30
Jul 1906. The following personal property was laid off, assessed and put in her possession:
1/2 int in a horse - $50.00
1 Buggy - $20.00
1 cart & harness - $7.00
5 sheep - $5.00
2 feather beds mattresses slats & fixtures - $50.00
1 sewing machine - $5.00
All other household and kitchen furniture including two bureaus - $20.00
All accounts belonging to the estate including in hands of J. O. Meekins (?) - $23.08
1/2 interest in the crop subject to legal expenses - $50.00
All farming implements - $3.00
All the poultry - $5.00
Total - $243.08
The family of said widow consists of herself alone and is entitled to a year's support of $300. There being a deficiency of $56.92 we
assess the same to be paid over from the proceeds of any property of said estate including any crops for the year 1906, should there be

Wilson I. Barnes, son of James J. Barnes and Mary Barnes, and Sally Rhodes, daughter of Abram Rhodes and Mary Elizabeth Etheridge, are my greatgrandparents. Their children were Joseph Gray Barnes and Abner Milton Barnes.
