                                    Petersburg 26^th Dec^r 1808

Dear Sir

            We are favored with yours of the 17^th Ins.

I have delivered your waggon one Sack Salt - Mr. Christian

will send you an account of what he delivers him

            Your ---- will not be inspected until after the

hollidays, we shall as soon after as possible, let you

know the weights & what we think of the quality &

we do not recollect concluding on any bargain respecting

your ----, we cannot therefore direct you whether to send

more here, until we know the terms which you suppose
