Delaware Prison, DE on or about10 July 1863, transferred to Point Lookout Prison, MD on or abou 15 Oct 1863;0\u00a0 PRISONER EXCHANGE:\u00a0 paroled at Point Lookout on or about 1 Nov 1864, received at Venus Point, Savannah River, GA on 15 Nov 1864; paroled at Raleigh, NC on 15 May 1865.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>LEE, LOAMA, Private<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ENLISTED: farmer born in Nash County, resided in Franklin on 26 Feb 1862;\u00a0 DIED:\u00a0 16 May 1862, place and cause not reported [probably died of disease.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LEWIS, WILLIAM T., Private<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ENLISTED: farmer born in Nash, resided in Franklin enlisting on 26 Feb 1862.\u00a0\u00a0 AGE: 23;\u00a0 DIED:\u00a0 at Goldsboro, NC on 1 June 1862, cause of death not reported [probably from disease,\u00a0 (<strong>EDS. NOTE:<\/strong> <strong>most of these deaths, within the first year of enlistment, were the inevitable outcome of rural people, accustomed to living in low population density places, living in crowded camps where communicable diseases could easily spread)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MEACON, WILLIAM H., Private<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ENLISTED: resided in Nash County, enlisted in Franklin on 21 April 1862;\u00a0 AGE: 17;\u00a0 WOUNDED:\u00a0 in the left thigh and in the left side of his chest at Gettysburg on or about 2 July 1863, returned to duty prior to 1 Sept 1863;\u00a0 CAPTURED:\u00a0 at or near Ft. Stedman, VA on 25 March 1865;\u00a0 PRISON: at Camp Lookout Prison, MD until his release on 6 June 1865 after taking the Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America.<\/p>\n<p><strong>P<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PERRY, LINDSEY, Private<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ENLISTED: resided in Nash County, enlisted in Franklin on 4 May 1862:\u00a0 AGE: 35;\u00a0\u00a0 CAPTURED: at or near Fayetteville, PA on 5 July 1863 (two days after the major fight at Gettysburg);\u00a0 PRISON:\u00a0 to Baltimore, MD, (probably Ft.
