Population:<\/strong> 17,731;\u00a0 White:\u00a0 9,418,\u00a0 Black: 8,313.<\/p>\n

Nash County was formed in 1777. And named in honor of Gen. Francis Nash, of Orange county, who fell this year at the battle of Germantown bravely fighting for<\/p>\n

the liberties of his country.<\/p>\n

Nashville, the county-seat, is 44 miles; east from Raleigh. Population 350.<\/p>\n

well cultivated.<\/p>\n
