Witnesseth that we the said Betley\u00a0Weston and wife Delila WESTON have for and in consideration fot he sum of Three Hundred\u00a0dollars t us in hand paid by the said JONES the receipts whereof is herby acknowledged have\u00a0bargained and sold and do by these presents bargained and sell unto the said Jonas JONES,\u00a0Senr. His heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in\u00a0said County of Jones and on both sides of Tuckahoe Creek &#8212;- and bounded as follows (viz)\u00a0Beginning at a stake at the run of Tuckahoe Creek and runs S 20 E 175 poles to a small red\u00a0oak in the south side of Duplin Road then S 5 W 378 poles to a stump then East 60 poles to a\u00a0pine on the west edge of New River Road, then with the said road to the cross roads then down\u00a0the meanders of a small branch opposite to a corner pine formerly belonging to the heirs of\u00a0Henry RHODES, Dec\u2019d which pine &#8212; near the main road, then with the main road crossing\u00a0Tuckahoe Creek, to the run of the great branch, then up the various courses of the said branch\u00a0to a water oak, Jonas JONES, Senr. Corner then with his line N 78 W 84 poles to a stump and\u00a0two black jacks, then s 5 Est to the run of Tuckahoe Creek then to the beginning containing by\u00a0estimation nine hundred and eighty four acres be the same more or less which we the said\u00a0Bently WESTON and wife Delila WESTON for our selves and our heirs do from time to time\u00a0and at all times Warrant and defend the right of the above mentioned lands unto him the said\u00a0Jonas JONES, Senr his heirs and assigns forever. DONNALD, Judge J.P, personally appeared Bentley WESTON and Delila\u00a0WESTON his wife the parties to the foregoing Deed and duly acknowledged the same as there\u00a0act and deed She the said Delila privately  been first examined by me privately and apart from\u00a0her husband &#8212;&#8211; the execution thereof and it appearing that she had executed the same truly\u00a0and at her own accord without the fear or compulsion of her husband and that she doth\u00a0voluntarily apart thereto.<\/p>\n<p>Let the Deed be registered.<\/p>\n<p>J. R. DONNALDS, Judge<\/p>\n<p>Registered in the Registers Office of Jones County in Book S, no. 19 and on Page 350<\/p>\n<p>Jn. Stroud, Regr.<\/p>\n<p>( I do not know which deed this is in reference to. Delila Rhodes Weston was the daughter of\u00a0Jacob J. RHODES and unknown wife.
