SIMMONS of the Co. of Jones and State of N.C. for\u00a0and in consideration of the sum of $750 to me in hand paid by James J. RHODES at\u00a0and before the sealing and signing of these presents. The receipt and payment whereof\u00a0is hereby ackn. have bargained sold and confirmed and I do hereby bargain and sell &amp;\u00a0confirm unto the said James J. RHODES his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or\u00a0parcel of land lying and being as follows to wit: in Jones Co. aforesaid on the s side of\u00a0Trent River and on the E side of\u00a0Mill Creek and Deep Gully Branch.(same as land described in above deed)<\/p>\n<p>To have and to hold said piece or parcel of land with its appertanances to the\u00a0said James J. RHODES hid heirs and assigns forever in per? &#8212;. And i for\u00a0myself and heirs executors and adm. do hereby covenant to and with said James J.\u00a0RHODES his heirs and assigns That I George W. SIMMONS my heirs exec. and adm.\u00a0shall and will warrant and forever defend the said piece or parcel of land with its appert.\u00a0free from all lawful claim of any person or persons whatsoever with it said James J.\u00a0RHODES his heirs and assigns forever.
