\nState of North Carolina, Jones County.<\/p>\n
Know all men by these presents, that we, Morris McDaniel and are held and\u00a0firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina, in the sum of Five Hundred\u00a0Dollars, currency, to the payment whereof, well and truly to be made to the\u00a0said State, we bind ourselves, and our respective heirs, executors and\u00a0administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.<\/p>\n
Sealed with our seals, and dated this 16th day of December A. D. 1861<\/p>\n
The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the Court of\u00a0Pleas and Quarter Sessions of Jones county aforesaid, have, on the day of\u00a0the date of these presents, apprenticed to the above bounden Morris McDaniel\u00a0a free Boy of Colour by the name of James White<\/p>\n
Now, if the above bounden Morris McDaniel shall not remove said apprentice\u00a0out of Jones county, and shall produce said apprentice before said Court at\u00a0any time when said Court may require it, and shall also produce said\u00a0apprentice at the expiration of the time of his service, then the above\u00a0obligation to be void.<\/p>\n
