Term 1808&#8212;-Jacob RHODES, juror<\/li>\n<li>May 1809-James Rhodes HAZZARD and Thomas HAZZARD, aged 6 years, bound  to\u00a0Anthony HATCH, 21 Nov. 1808<\/li>\n<li>May 1811-William RHODES, be appointed overseer of the roads in the room of\u00a0Jonas JONES, resignes.<\/li>\n<li>Aug. 1813-ordered that Joseph KINSEY, Jr., Sam&#8217;l WESTBROOK, William RHODES\u00a0etc., be privates in Capt. COXES? JARMAN, &amp; John JONES,\u00a0all of Jones Co., N.C. are held firmly bound unto His Excellency John OWEN?<\/p>\n<p>Esquire, Capt. Generla, Governor &amp; Commander in Chief in and over the State\u00a0Aforesaid in the sum of 500 dollars currency.to be paid to the said Governor,\u00a0his successors in Office,or Assigns in Trust for the benefit of the child I\u00a0hereafter named, committed to the tuition of the said Jonas JONES to the which\u00a0payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves and each of us , each and\u00a0every of our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, jointly and severally,\u00a0firmly by these presents.\u00a0Sealed, with our seals, the 13th day of December 1830.<\/p>\n<p>The condition of the above Obligation is such that whereas the above bounden\u00a0Jonas JONES is constituted and appointed Guardian to Jacob RHODES, minor or\u00a0orphan. Now if the said Jonas JONES shall faithfully execute said Guardianship\u00a0by securing and improving the Estates of the said Jacob RHODES that shall come\u00a0into his possession for the benefit of the said Jacob RHODES thereto required,\u00a0and then render a true and plain account of his said Guardianship onoath\u00a0before the Justices oforesaid Court, and deliver up, pay to, or possess the\u00a0said Jacob RHODES of all such Estate as he ought to be possessed of or to such\u00a0other persons as shall be lawfully empowered or authorized to receive the\u00a0same, and the profits arising therefrom, then this obligation to be void;\u00a0otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. \u00a0&#8212;\u00a0Signed, sealed and Delivered\u00a0in presence of  H.BRYAN                                Jonas JONES, seal,\u00a0John JONES, seal\u00a0&#8212;&#8212;- BEST, seal<\/p>\n<p>Jones Co, Court, December Term, A.D. 1830. I hereby certify that the following\u00a0Justices were present in Court, and granted the foregoing Guardianship, Viz:\u00a0Nathan FOSCUE, Roscoe BARRUS, and Christopher A. HATCH. &#8212;\u00a0H. BRYAN, clerk<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">GUARDIANSHIP BOND-Jones Co.,N.C.&#8211;Rhodes Family<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Know all men by these presents that we Jonas JONES, Sr., John JONES &amp; Joseph\u00a0KINSEY all of Jones Co., N.C. are held and firmly bound unto His Excellency\u00a0John AURN? Esquire, Captain General Governor and Commander in Chief in and\u00a0over the State aforesaid int he sum of 2000 dollars currency, to be paid to\u00a0the said Governor, his sucdcessors in office, or assigns, in trust for the\u00a0benefit of the child &#8212;&#8211;, hereafter named committed to the tuition of the\u00a0said Jonas JONES. To the which payment, well and truly to be mad, we bind\u00a0ourselves and each of us, each and every of our heirs, executors and\u00a0administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. &#8212;&#8211;\u00a0Sealed with our seals, and dated 14th day of December 1829.<\/p>\n<p>The Condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden\u00a0Jonas JONES is constituted and appointed Guardian to Benjamin RHODES minor or\u00a0orphan. Now if the said Jonas JONES&#8212;&#8211;shall faithfully execute said\u00a0Guardianship by securing and improving the estates of the said Benjamin RHODES\u00a0that shall come into his possession for the benefit of the said Benjamin\u00a0RHODES until he shall arrive at full age, or he sooner thereto required, and\u00a0then render a true and plain account of his said guardianship on oath before\u00a0the Justices of our said Court, and deliver up, pay to, or posess the said\u00a0Benjamin RHODES of all such estate or estates as he ought to be possessed of,\u00a0or to such other persons as shall be lawfully empowered or authorized to\u00a0receive the same, and the profits arising therefrom, then this obligation to\u00a0be void; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. &#8212;&#8211; \u00a0Signed sealed and delivered &#8211;\u00a0H.BRYAN                                                 Joseph JONES, seal &#8212;\u00a0Joseph KINSEY, seal\u00a0John JONES, seal\u00a0Jones County Court, Term..A.D. 1829<\/p>\n<p>I hereby certify that the following Justices were present in Court, and\u00a0granted the foregoing guardianship in Roscoe BARRUS, Nathan FOSCUE, and Thomas\u00a0GILLET. &#8212;\u00a0H.BRYAN, clerk<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Court Term Feb. 1817<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ordered that a piece of new road turned by James RHODES, Sr., be recorded by\u00a0the overseer and company of said district.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Court Term Dec. 13, 1825<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ordered that &#8212;&#8211; JAMES, Henry RHODES, Owin B. COX, &amp; Lewis KINSEY be patrols\u00a0in district #4 for one year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Court Term Dec. 1829<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ordered Jonas JONES be guardian to Benjamin RHODES (minor) he entering into\u00a0bond in the sum of two thousand dollars with John JONES &amp; Joseph KINSEY\u00a0surities.<\/li>\n<li>Ordered that Emanuel JARMAN be administor of all the goods &amp; chattels of James\u00a0RHODES, dec. he entering into bond in the sum of four thousand dollars with\u00a0Joseph KINSEY &amp; John JONES surities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Court Term March 1831<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Henry RHODES, James J. RHODES, Benjamin RHODES, Delia RHODES, &amp; Jacob RHODES\u00a0to the court.          Petition for partition of land. \u00a0Report returned and confirmed and ordered to be registered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Court Term December 1831<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ordered that Owin B. COX have the administration on the estate of Henry\u00a0RHODES, dec., he entering into bond in the sum of two thousand dollars with\u00a0William BROWN and Jonas WILLIAMS surities.<\/li>\n<li>Ordered that Emanual JARMAN adm. of James RHODES, dec. has permission to sale\u00a0the negroes CATE &amp; FRANK of the estate of his intestate for the purpose of\u00a0paying debt. Sale to be at six months ordered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">GUARDIAN BONDS-Jones Co.,N.C.-RHODES family<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Source-N.C.State Archives&#8212;CR 057.501.3<\/p>\n<p>Know all men by these presents that we Owen B. COX, Isaac BROWN, &amp; William\u00a0HUGGINS  all of Jones Co., N.C. are held and firmly bound unto  his Excellency\u00a0Munford STOKES Esquire, Captain General, Governor and Commander in Chief in\u00a0and over the State aforesaid in the sum of 1000 dollars currency, to be paid\u00a0to the said Governor, his successors in Office, or assigns in Trust, for the\u00a0benefit of the children hereafter named, committed to the tuition of said Owen\u00a0B. COX. To th which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves and\u00a0each of us, each and every of our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators,\u00a0jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our Seals, and\u00a0dated 12th day of March 1832.<\/p>\n<p>The condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden\u00a0Owin B. COX is constituted and appointed Guardian to Mary RHODES and Jackson\u00a0RHODES minor or orphans. Now if the said Owen B. COX shall faithfully execute\u00a0said Guardianship by securing and improving the Estates of the said Mary and\u00a0Jackson RHODES that shall come into his possession for the benefit of the said\u00a0Mary &amp; Jackson RHODES of all such Estate or Estates as he ought to be\u00a0possessed of, or to such other persons as shall be lawfully empowered or\u00a0authorized to recieve the same, adn the profits arising therefrom, then this\u00a0obligation to be void; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. \u00a0 &#8212;-\u00a0Signed, sealed &amp; delivered \u00a0&#8212;\u00a0in the presence of H.
