Also Dudley Island, Carteret Co.<\/p>\n<p>In the name of God Amen\u00a0I Eli West of the County of Jones being very sick &amp; weak in body but of\u00a0sound mind and perfect memory Do make this my last will and testament in\u00a0manner &amp; form following<\/p>\n<p>First &amp; chief of all I recommend my soul to the mercy of Allmighty God\u00a0hoping for the salvashion there of through the mercy alone of my blessed\u00a0Savour Jesus Christ my body I desire to be decently burried at the\u00a0discretion of my Executors here after named and as for such worldly goods\u00a0as it hath pleased God to Bless me with I dispose of them as follows.  It\u00a0is my will &amp; desire that all my just debts shall be first paid and funeral\u00a0expenses __?<\/p>\n<p>Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Kair West fifty pounds to be\u00a0raised out of my Estate and the value of a negroe fellow by the name of\u00a0Burrey at the valuation when Doctor Loomis took his wife s part of the\u00a0Estate and the stock &amp; household furniture that my wife have in her\u00a0possession   I give her one third part to her &amp; heirs &amp; assign forever<\/p>\n<p>Item I give unto my beloved Daughter Chasty Ward twelve spanish milled\u00a0dollars  to be converted to the sole use of makin table spoons to her &amp; her\u00a0heirs and assigns forever.<\/p>\n<p>Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter  Elizabeth West twelve spanish\u00a0milled dollars to coverted to the sole use of table spoons to her &amp; her\u00a0heirs and assigns forever.<\/p>\n<p>Item I give &amp; bequeath unto my daughter Phebe West twelve spanish milled\u00a0dollars to be converted to the sole of making table spoons to her &amp; her\u00a0heirs and assigns forever.<\/p>\n<p>Item I give &amp; bequeath unto my nephew Eli West who now lives with me sixty\u00a0pounds to be put at interest for the benefit of his schooling to be drawn\u00a0occasionally to him &amp; his heirs and assigns forever<\/p>\n<p>Item It is my will &amp; desire that the following negroes be sold namely Old\u00a0Jude  Old Sam  &amp; little Sam &amp; Old fellor to be sold for nine months credit\u00a0by my executors hereafter named  Also it is my will &amp; desire that all my\u00a0houshold &amp; kitchen furniture &amp; plantation tools of every kind be sold by my\u00a0Executors except what I have given away to my two youngest Daughters.<\/p>\n<p>Item And all my stock of every kind except what I have given to my two\u00a0youngest Daughters.<\/p>\n<p>Item Also all my lands lying Onslow County to be to be sold by my Executors<\/p>\n<p>&amp; all warrants that is not laid or as much as my Executors shall think best<\/p>\n<p>Item Also all my land lying in Carteret County to be sold by my Executors\u00a0or as much more if my land that I have not heretofore away as my Executors\u00a0shall see fit. \u00a0Also all my land lying in Cumberland in the state of Tenessee to be sold\u00a0by my Executors<\/p>\n<p>Item Also it is my will &amp; desire that my two youngest Elizabeth &amp; Phebe&#8217;s\u00a0negroes &amp; stocks to be kept on their plantations &amp; rented all together from\u00a0year to year as my Executors shall think best<\/p>\n<p>Item I also give to my three Daughters Chasty Ward &amp; Elizabeth &amp; Phebe West\u00a0all my right &amp; title of marsh &amp; land on Dudley Island in Carteret County to\u00a0be equally among the three children to them &amp; their heirs and asigns\u00a0forever______________<\/p>\n<p>Item I do hereby Authorize &amp; Empower my Executors herein after named or\u00a0either of them to make good Lawfull &amp; Indefeasible Deeds &amp; titles to all\u00a0the Lands as well as other property which they shall sell &amp; dispose of\u00a0agreable to this my Last Will &amp; testament above mentioned any Custom to the\u00a0Contrary not with standing as it is the true intent and meaning hereof that\u00a0they my said Executors or either of them should have full power &amp; authority\u00a0so to do.<\/p>\n<p>Item I Conclude Constitute and appoint my beloved friends Frederick Harget,\u00a0William T.
