TERRELL , THOMAS - I am looking for the father of James M. TERRELL who was born about 1822 in Wake County. He married Martha Jane THOMAS. I suspect that he may be related to John TERRELL of Franklin County. I am likewise searching for Martha Jane THOMAS' parents who may have lived in Franklin or Wake. I have lots of early Terrell information that I will share.

A son named William T. Collins, referred to by my great-grandfather as Captain. William was born 04-02-1845 and died 03-02-1889. He married I. Pearce whose parents were A.W. & S.A. Pearce. BELL and GRIFFIN - I am looking for any information on Artelia Francis "Fanny" Bell born December 23, 1848 and died February 9, 1916 in Franklin County. She had four illegitimate children. Any information on them also would be appreciated. The first one was Griffin "Grief" Andrew Bell. He was born in 1869. His father was supposely John Alford, Jr. She did not raise him and he may have been put in the Oxford Orphanage in Oxford, NC. He married Carrie Griffin in 1895. Although, he may have been raised by a Dr. Bell from Wakefield. Any info on Dr. Bell would also be appreciated. The other children were Mary William Bell born July 7, 1884 and married to Ollie Leonard Tant, Burline Bell born June 4, 1887 and married to Nick Powell and George Burns. HARRIS, GARRETT, - I am looking for relatives of Asa P. Harris born in 1807 and married to Mary H. Blackley. They were the parents of Alexander "Sandy" Harris born in 1834 in Granville County, but lived in Franklin County. Alexander had a twin sister, Melchisa (Julia) Harris. She was married to Iverson Longmire on September 30, 1856. Alexander was married first to Mary A. Weaver on December 19, 1857. They had the following children: Albert, Lewis, Wesley, Charles or Charlie, and Julia Harris. Some time after Mary's death, Alexander married Lucy Ann Garrett of Granville County. Their children were: Henry, Sarah, Fanny, Lonnie, Annie, Jim and Ollie Harris. They lived in Justice, NC. Alexander and Lucy Harris were the parents of my grandfather, James M. I am also looking for information on his son William CARROLL/CARRELL born about 1745 in Granville County, North Carolina. He is listed in Granville County, special census of 1786. From the Bounty Land Grant Application of Silas Gordon from Coweta County , Georgia, indicating 1812 war service, he states that he enlisted in Spartanburg District , South Carolina , in place of John Gordon.
