Sample Constable Bond Form

State of North Carolina,
Currituck County.
    Know All Men By These Presents, That we (names of bondsmen) all of the County and State aforesaid, are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency (name of governor of NC) Esquire, Governor in and over the State of North Carolina, in the sum of Four Thousand Dollars, to be paid to the said (name of governor) Esquire, or his Successors in office, for the time being: To which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administratiors, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our Seals and dated this (day) day of (month) Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and (year).
    The Condition of the Above Obligation is Such, That whereas the above bounden (name of Constable) is by the County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, held for the said County of Currituck, appointed Constable for the County of Currituck.
    Now if the said (name of constable) shall execute and make due return of all process that shall or may come into his hands, and do all other things he shall be required to do by order of our said Court, and shall well and truly account for and pay to the proper person or persons, all sum or sums of money, that shall come into his hands by virtue of any warrant or execution by him executed, and shall diligently endeavor to collect all claims put into his hands for collection, and faithfully pay over all sums received thereon, either with or without suit, to the person or persons to whom the same shall be due; and do all and every other thing that shall be required of him by law; then the above obligation to be void and of no effect-otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
