The cemetery was adjacent to the home of Dr. Benjamin Robinson, one of the first Physicians to practice medicine 
in Fayetteville, NC. He was an early pioneer and advocate for Small Pox vaccinations. He practiced medicine in 
Fayetteville for 50 years and his son Dr. Benjamin West Robinson joined him in his practice around 1835 and continued 
until his death in 1885. They are both buried in the cemetery as are their wives and several other family members.
