PHILADELPHIA METHODIST CHURCH (Colored) This church cemetery is located in Cleveland County, N.C. in No. 9 Township two miles west of Fallston on Route 2 on a country road a half mile south of Highway No. 180 and twelve miles of Shelby, N.C. The cemetery consists of about one acre and thickly filled. Philadelphia Methodist Church (Colored) organized in a log church in 1866. Frame building. Second building painted white; dimensions 35 by 40 feet; one Sunday School room; heated by stove; lighted with carbide lights. Present building erected in 1906. Two old maids, Miss Elizabeth and Miss Rebecca Gardner gave the land for the cemetery. Church owns one and a half acres of land. Data by A. G.
