600 pounds of bacon -$ 120.00
                         Total - $ 245.00
Remarks: This claimant is 41 years old; furnished a substitute in the rebel service in 1863 and during the same year served in the militia; and in November, 1864 was conscripted, and served in person to the end of the war. No amount of loyal sympathy will overbalance that record or constitute claimant a loyal adherent to the Union and the Government of the United States during the war.
We reject the claim."
