I George M West of the County of Tyrrell and state of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of my Earthly existence do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first.

I give and devise to my beloved wife Sally the tract of land whereon I now live Joining Enoch Basnight Benjamin Spruill and others. Containing 327 acres more or less. also the tract of land on the Sound side where J. Q. Belanga now lives. containing about 200 acres both tracts situated in Tyrrell County North Carolina together with all my lands or titles of land that I own any where. I give and bequeath all my personal estate of Every Kind to my said wife Sally to her and to hold said land and personal property to her and her heirs forever. In testimony whereof I the said G. M. West have hereunto set my hand and seal.

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Geo M West to be his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence do subscribe our names as witnesses thereto.

Probate Court

A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of George M. West deceased exhibited before me the undersigned Judge of Probate in and for county of Tyrrell by Sallie West the Sole Legatee therein named. And the due execution thereof by the said George M West by oath and examination of W. L. Spruill Arthur Spruill and Eli Spruill the subscribing witnesses thereto who being duly sworn doth depose and saith & each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown him purporting to be the last will and testament of George M. West that the said George M West in the presence of this deponant subscribed his name at the end of the said paper writing which is now shown him. And the (Blank) further says that the said George M West did at the time signing said paper writing declare the same to be his last will & testament and these deponants did sign the said paper writing now shown them as subscribing witnesses in the presence of said George M West and at his request and these deponants does further say that at the time he signed the said paper writing as a subscribing that said George M West was of full age to execute a last will and testament & was of sound mind & memory and was not under amy restraint to the knowledge of these deponants and further these deponants saith not.
