In the name of God Amen I Anthony Ward of the state of North Carolina and county of Tyrrel being weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say, first I give and bequeath unto my two sons John Ward & William Ward all my lands and plantation whereon I now dwell to be equally divided between them when they come to age or marry to them and there heirs or assigns for ever Also I give and bequeath to my son John one heipher and to my son William one heipher to be delivered by my executors when my sons comes to age or marry.

Item I give to my daughter Abigale Ward one cow and calf and one year old stear which ? I have already delivered also one linen whele also I give to my said daughter one gallon pewter bason

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane Ward one cow and heipher year old which I have already delivered also to one five quart pewter bason and one linen wheel to her and her heirs for ever

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Rachal Ward one heipher yearling and her increase also one half gallon pewter bason and one pewter dirk to her and her heirs for ever

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary one heipher yearling and her increase and one half gallon pewter bason and six pewter plates to her and her heirs for ever

Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Ward all the residue and remaining part of my perishable estate to pay my just debts and to school and rase my children as far as she is able and I do hereby appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth Ward sole executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixth day of March in the year of our Lord 1797 and the XXI year of our independnce
