In the name of God amen: The eighth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty six, I John Walker of Tyrrell County in ye Province of North Carolina Planter being in health and of sound disposing mind and memory thanks be given unto God for the same and calling to mind the morallity of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into ye hands of God that gave it and for my body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executors, nothing dougbting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

Imprimus - I give to my daughter Elisabeth Harison one shiling sterling money of Great Brittain -

Item - I give to my daughter Mary Stubbs one shiling sterling money of Great Brittain -

Item - I give to my daughter Sarah Stubbs one shiling sterling money of Great Brittain-

Item - I give to my son Thomas Walker one shiling sterling money of Great Brittain -

Item - I give to my daughter Zilpha Garrett one shiling sterling money of Great Brittain-

Item - I give to my son Steward Walker my manner plantation with one hundred acres of land adjoyning to the same one bed and furniture and one iron pott -

Item - I give to my son John Walker one hundred acres of land out of the same one bed and furniture and one iron pott and all the cattle that is called his at my pen -

Item - I give to my daughter Pertena Walker one bed and furniture one iron pott and one iron kettle -

Item - I give to my daughter Susanna Walker one bed and furniture and one iron pott -

Item - I give to my well beloved wife Margrit Walker all the remainder part of my Estate during her natural life and at her decease or before if she see cause to dispose of the same to her children to witt, Perthena, John, Susanna and Steward and I do likewise constitute make ordain and appoint my beloved wife Margrit Walker Executrix with my two sons John and Steward Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannull all and every other former Testament Wills and Legacies bequeasts and Executors by me in any wise before this time named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
