In the name of God Amen I Ishum Webb of the state of North Carolina & county of Tyrrell being at present in a very low state of helth but thanks be to almighty God of perfect mind & memory calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is apointed for all men once to dye do make & ordain this my last will & testament first and princably I give my soul into the hands of almighty God that gave it & my body I recomend to be buried in a desant Christan like maner at the discresion of my executors hereafter named

Item I lend the use and profits of my maner house & plantation together with the land thereto belonging to my well beloved wife Marey An Webb her natural life and after her deceas I give demise & bequeath the same unto Harmon Webb son of John Webb to him and his heirs & assigns forever I likewise lend my grist mill and land thereunto belonging unto my well beloved wife Marey dureing he natural life and after her death I give the sd. mill & land thereunto belonging to my well beloved brother Nathaniel Webb to him and his heirs forever

Item All & singular the remainder of my estate both real & personal I give demise & bequeath unto my well beloved wife Marey Ann Webb to her and her heirs forever after my just debts being paid & I do hereby nominate & apoint my well beloved wife executrix and my well beloved brother Nathaniel Webb executor to this my last will & testament hereby uterly makeing null & void all other and former wills by me at any time made ratifying and confirming this my last will & testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & afixed my seal this 22d day of April 1778

Appeared in open court Jeremiah Frazer Esqr. and proved the last will and testament of Isham Webb.

Personally appeared in open court and qualified to the last will and testament of Isham Webb deceased Nathaniel Webb & Mary Ann Webb. Ordered that Mr. Secretary may have notice that letters issue.
