our Attendance but could not find Corner Trees nor Lines. --- Item the Lands of Thomas Lee Between Morrattock River y Conaby Creek, the Surveyor not runing the Line yt Divides the new Land from ye Old. --- Item the Bounds between ye Land Whereon Mr. Willim. Rhoads Senr. now Dwelleth y the Land of Thos. Lee ye Sd Willm. Rhoads Objecting against the Bounds Asertained by Evidence heretofore in Case of a Resurvey on the Sd. Thos. Land.

In Obedience to an Order of Vestry Met for the sd Parish June ye 5th 1747.
    We the Subscribers have processiond the Lands herein mentioned in ye following Order
    Vizt Processiond the Lands of William Barret to wit that whereon he dwelleth and Beeks Island in the Respective Bounds thereof, One Excepted on Beeks Island which was Omited by the Subs. by Reason of impassible grounds. -- Item the Land of Edmond Blount whereon he dwelleth. -- Item the Land of Benjamin Blount in presence of Jonathan Corprue y sometime Isaac Blount. -- Item the Land of Sd. Jonathan Corprue. -- Item the Land whereon Nathaniel Everrit Senr. Dwelleth Only in the Line between Said Land y Corprue's the Sd. Nathaniel failing to procession Said Land further Saying the Other Bounds were all natural, y it would be insignificant to go round them; -- Item the Land of Zachariah Girkin in the Several Bounds thereof in presence of Benjamin Girkin. -- Item the Land of Jon Stubs called the Brits in the Natural Bounds thereof y Dividing Line between that and the Land called Savories in presence of Thomas Stubs y Bedford Fagane; -- Item the Land of Richard Fagane at plymon (?) Swamp in presence of Jon. Stubs; -- Item the Land of Bedford Fagane at the Cannu pond partly in presence of Thomas Bedford; -- Item the Land of Richard Fagane at Connubee in presence of Benjamin Walker, William Faganes, Bedford Fagane, Jon. Jordan y Thoms. Stubs; -- Item the Land of Thoms. Johnston, the Land of Thos. Lee at Conubie, the Land the Land of Benjamin Walker y the Land of

James Middelton in presence of Thos. Lee, Thos. Johnston, Benjamin Walker, y Bedford Fagane, and Sometime Edward Walker. -- Item, the Land of Jon. Ares, Jacob Blunt Junr., y James Blount, in presence of Thomas Lee, Jon. Ares Sometimes Edward Walker y Jacob Blount aforsd. -- Item processioned two bounded Trees on the Land of Edward Williams in presence of Richard Swinson but further the Said Edward Refused to proceed to Procession; -- Item the Land of Richard Swinson called Papau Neck in two bounded Trees only, the Said Richard affirming the Same hath no further or Other Bounds, Save the prosson'd, the Said Swinson processioned the Land whereon he Dwelleth in his own Name Denying any part thereof to be Powels or any other Persons but Said he was to lay out forty Acres for William Swinson if required, y knoweth not the same when Shall happen; -- Item the Land of Jon. Cannady in the Several Boundaries thereof lately laid out to him. -- Item the Land now in the Tenour y Occupation of James Jones called Medestone was processioned from a New marked Tree Standing in a certain Branch which runeth out of Kendricks Creek thence along the Creek to the Bottom of the Neck called Barron's Old Field where we found No bounded Tree the' On mentioned in Sd. plan of the Said Land, then along the Beaverdam to the Mouth of Tussockey Branch which appears by Sd. plan to be part of the bounds of the Said Medestone at the Mouth of which the Said James marked a Sweet Gum Supposing the Sd. Gum thereat mentioned to be Deay'd otherwise Demolished or Rotten then along the Said Branch to a bounded Pine to a Gum another bounded Tree then to a Corner White Oak tree nearby Dismal thence more Easterly to a Pine with Some old Marks thereon but no Certainty of its being the Bounds wherefore the Said James renewed the Mark thereof as also another Pine Some Distance from the former Declaring he knew not which of the twain was the Corner; -- Item the Land belonging to the Sd. James at his upper Plantation, y the Land called the Folly, now in the Jurisdiction of the said James

possessioned on his Intelligence. -- Item the Land now held by William Ray in the Presence of James Jones; -- Item, the Bounds between the Honorable Cullen Pollock Land whereon he Dwelleth y the Land in the Tenure y Occupation of Mrs. Elizabeth Bell Otherwise called Captain William Mackey's Land we Say processioned the Bounds of the Said Land on which Dependeth the Bounds of the Said Cullen's Land Land upon the Intelligence of John Walker upon Oath in Presence of Said John, Thomas Bell and George Pollock. -- Item the Bounds of Said Cullen's Said Land to the Mouth or Begining of Marrattock River pecoson where we found No bounded Tree, but tho having the Plan of the Said Land y Bound being natural marked then a Gum on the Edge of the Sound, thence by the Said Plan Described along Said Pocosson & Said Plan to the Mouth of a Branch in Quest of a bounded Pine which we found not then along Said Branch by Directions of Said Plan tho considerably Short of the Distance mentioned in the Recited Plan to the aforesd. Bounds certified by by the Said John Walker in Presence of Bedford Fagans y George Pollock. -- Item the Land of John Jordan upon the Intelligence of Richard Fagan; -- Item William Steely's Land on Morrattock. -- Item the Land of Nathaniel Everrit formerly Called Cauthan's. -- Item the Land belonging to Stevens Lee y Steven Garret jointly called Balies Iland, alias Balies Neck, Alias the Oval Island, the bounds thereof being altogether natural without the mention of any bounded Tree; -- Item the other Bounds of the Land called William Mackey's aforesd. from the Mouth of the Long Branch which Divides the Same from the aforesd. Cullen Pollock's along the Sound Side to Kendrick's Creek y along the Bounds between the Said Land and Thoms. Bell's Land at the Back Landing then to

a Branch Dividing the Same from the Land of James Turnbul Esqr. y to a bounded white Oak Standing near the Said James Fence thence to a marked Pine on Walkers Swamp which the Said William believes to be a bonded Tree as we also do wherefore y meeting with no Objection Renewed the Marks then along Said Swamp to a marked Gum in the Head of the Said Swamp then by marked Trees to or near the Deep Run Branch, which Line we believe to be part of the Bounds of Said Land mentioned in the Pattent thereof tho the Said Line exceeds the Distance Nor doth the Pattent mention the Courses then along the Deep Run Branch to the Bounds certified by the above sd. Walker in the presence of Thomas Bell y Bedford Fagane; -- Item the Land of Thomas Bell at the Back Landing in the Presence of William Mackey. -- Item the Land of William Barret on the Beaver Dam between Meadstone y James Jones upper Plantation in Presence of James Jones. -- Item the Land of Thomas Bell lying on the Long Branch y on Walkers Swamp laid out for him out of the Said Mackeys Land Since processioning thereof in the Presence of William Mackey y Bedford Fagane.

    The Said Lands were Processiond as abovesd. Differing only in Time of the Processioning that is Lands Sooner than Others perhaps are mentioned in the aforegoing Acct. after Such In Witness whereof We hereunto Set Our Hands June ye. Sixth Day 1748.

    Hear followeth an Acct of the Lands in the Cantoon from Morrattock Bridge to Kendricks Creek which the Processioners appointed for Said Cantoon have failed to procession together with their Reasons for Such Failure, Vizt., The Land whereon James Turnbull Esqr. Dwelleth, the Said James returning Answer the Same could not be performed before there was a Sworn Surveyer y that the Processioners had not Authority Enough to procession his Land. -- Item, the Lands called Bakers, y Bunkum's, Hawkin's, Savories, Adderley's, Leggat's, Trotters, Boyan's y Whitmells, (whereon James Ward now Dwelleth) Brown's Powel's, Richard Swinson's on the Creek were not processioned, No Person appearing to attend or give Intelligence of Said Lands. -- Item, the Dividing Line or Bounds between Edward Williams his Land y the other Lands in Swinson's Neck, the Said Edward not believing it necessary, -- Item the Bounds between Medestone y Legates Land for want of Intelligence. Then Those Boundaries or bounded trees of Medestone whereon James Jones Dwelleth, to wit, a Pine in the Bottom of Neck at the Dividing Branch, a Gum at the Mouth of Tussockey Branch, y a Corner next to the Dismal, which Boundaries could not be found nor acertained; -- Item the Back Lines or Bounds of the Honorable Edward Moseley's Lands called White Marsh y And the Bounds of Mr. Thos. Lee's Lands called the Duck Ponds y Joyning or next the Said White Marsh were not procession'd for want of true Intelligence, Nor could we find Such Seeming bounded trees as we discovered to answer with the Courses y Distances of Either wherefore we Ceased to procession the Said Lines or Bounds. Note, the abovesd. Richard Swinson did not see Cause to procession the Land abovesd. on the Creek Not knowing if he had or Should have any there. Item, One Boundary of Becks Island Survey the Same being only Nominated, but not Run by Reason of Impassible Grounds.
    As Witness our hands this 6th Day of June 1748

    Possessioned for William Downing 606 Acres of Land Lying upon the Mill Pond and the Mill Creek y the main Creek, Beginning at a Beach by the Side of the Mill Swamp , and runing northerly along a line of Marked Trees to a Gum in Jos. (?) Powel's Line, then along a Line of Marked Trees westerly to a Pine in the Edge of the Creek Swamp them binding upon the Creek y the Race to a Poplar by the Side of the Race , then to a Mulbery upon the Mill Pond then up the Mill Pond y Mill Swamp to the first Station, possd. the 25th Day of febry 1747/8.
