I, Isaac I. Twiddy of the County of Tyrrell and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory do declare this my last Will and Testament:

Item - All of my debts that are just are to be paid out of whatever property of any kind I may have at my death.

Item - I give and bequeath to my first and second family of children, namely: Suzzie Sawyer, Polly Sawyer, Tabiatha Davis, Isaac Twiddy, Nora Comestalk, Charles Flusher Twiddy and Anna J. Twiddy, one dollar each in money.

Item - I give and bequeath to my present wife all my real estate (land) to keep and to hold so long as her natural life or until my youngest child is 21 years old. If my present wife Hester E. Twiddy should have a living husband when my youngest child shall arrive at the age of 21 years then all my land shall go to my third family of children. If she should remain a widow or be a widow at the expiration of the time above mentioned until her death, then all shall go to my third family of children, namely: George T. Twiddy, Monroe Twiddy, Lillie G. Twiddy, Edia M. Twiddy, July S. Twiddy, Sophia Twiddy, or any others that may come after this that are mine.

Item - I give and bequeath all of my personal property to my present wife Hester E. Twiddy during her natural life time and at her death it shall go to my third family of children as here before named.

Item - I appoint J. B. Walker of Tyrrell County, N. C. as my executor of this Will and desire that he shall not be required to give any security for the performance of his duties.

In witness whereof I the said Isaac I. Twiddy do hereto set my hand and seal this 7th day of August in the year of our Lord 1900.

Subscribed by the testator in my presence, and at that time declared by him to me as his last Will and Testament.

A paper purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Isaac I. Twiddy deceased, is exhibited before me by J. B. Walker, the executor therein mentioned and the due execution thereof by the said Isaac J. Twiddy and thereupon proven by the oath and examination of J. B. Walker and J. D. Furlough, the subscribing witnessess thereto: who being duly sworn, doth depose and say, that each for himself, that the said paper-writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Isaac I. Twiddy in the presence of these deponents subscribed his name at the end of said paper-writing, which is now shown as aforesaid and which bears a date of 7th day of August 1900 .

And this Deponent futher saith that the said Isaac I. Twiddy, the testator aforesaid did at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid, declare the said paper-writing so subscribed by him and exhibited to be his last Will and Testament, and this deponent did thereupon subscribe their names at the end of said Will as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of said testator. And these deponents further saith at the same time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said last Will aforesaid and at the time of the deponents subscribing his name as a attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said Isaac I. Twiddy was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a Will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent. And futher these deponents say; not.

It is thereupon Considered, Adjudged and Decreed that said proof is sufficent and according to law, that said paper writing is and contains the last Will and Testament of Isaac I. Twiddy deceased. And on motion it is ordered that said Will be admitted to probate and recorded in the Book of Wills of Tyrrell County and as such filed as provided by law in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of said County.
