Dated 1 Oct 1755


In the name of God amen: I Paul Tharp of the County of Tyrrel being very sick and week but in perfect mind and memory commend my soul into the hands of Allmighty God that gave it and my body to be decently buried by my Executors as for my Estate that God has been pleased to bless me with I give and devise as followeth.

Item - I give and devise unto my son Paul Tharp the Black walnut land to him his heirs lawfully begoten Likewise I give and devise unto my son Job Tharp my home plantation to him and his heirs lawfully begoten.

Item - I devise unto my son James Tharp one cow and calf.

Item - I devise unto my daughter Cates Gard one shilling starling.

Item - I devise unto my daughter Anner Marten one shilling starling.

Item - I devise unto my daughter Lede Duncan one shilling starling.

Item - I devise unto my daughter Ester Johnson two cows and calves I give to her daughter Haner one heffer yourlon.

Item - I lend unto my dear beloved wife Hannah Tharp all the rest of my Estate dureing of her widdowhood or death and then to be equely devided between my son Paul Tharp and Job Tharp and my daughter Mary Tharp and my daughter Sary Tharp and my daughter Hannah Tharp I do hear by constitute and appoint my lovin wife Hannah Tharp and my son Paul Tharp my Executors of this my last Will and Testament Revoking and Disanulling all Wills whatsoever as witness my hand this 1 day of October in ye year 1755.
