Know all by these presents that I James A Sawyer bein in sound mind before deth is here I done make my last will and testament it is my wishes to be buried suitable to the wishes of my wife and relations and all of my Just and onoble debts is paid then it is my wishes and desire that my wife to pay all debts and then give to my wife Mary Elizabeth Sawyer and children if any aliven all of my property land and all personal property and I make my wife Mary Elizabeth Sawyer my executrix to this my last will and testament this February 15 1881.

A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of James A. Sawyer Decd bearing date of Feb 15th 1881 is exhibited in open court by Mary E. Sawyer his widow and executrix to the said will. And the due execution thereof is proven by the oath and examination of Z Roughton and Devotion Twidy the subscribing witnesses thereto in manner and form following to wit. The said Z Roughton and Devotion Twidy being duly sworn says that the said paper writing now shown them bearing date of February 15th 1881 purporting to be the last will and testament of James A. Sawyer Decd exhibited for Probate by the said Mary E. Sawyer executrix as aforesaid was on the said 15th day of February 1881 in their presence signed sealed published and declared by the said James A. Sawyer to be his last will and testament. And that at the request of and in the presence of the said James A. Sawyer and in the presence of each other the said Z Roughton and Devotion Twidy Subscribed their names as witnesses thereto. And that at the time of the signing of said will the said James A. Sawyer was of Sound mind and of full age to make a will.
