Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
December Session 1739
Richd. Sparkman appeared in court, and being required to give sufficient security for the estate belonging to the orpans of Peter Stancel deceased, & not complying with, it is ordred that he stand comitted to the custody of the Sheriff until he give such security.
June Session 1740
Ordered that John Stancel be appointed guardian to the orphans of Peter Stancel deceased and that he take the said estate into his hands whereever to be found in this county he first giving security in the sum of seven humdred pound.
